The island of Cyprus is visited by almost a million British visitors every year. Amazing scenery, delicious cuisine, 326 days of sunshine a year and just a four hour flight from the UK are just a few of the things that attract British holidaymakers on their package holidays to visit Cyprus. Other attractions include the Paphos Mosaics which are regarded as the finest mosaic in the Eastern Mediterranean and ten UNESCO listed churches. The race starts at Petra tou Rominou, believed to be the birthplace of Aphrodite, and proceeded along the rugged coastline and along the Paphos seafront.

Easter Week

The Easter week celebrations start late in March and continue for two weeks. With temperature highs of around 18C and a rich cultural heritage, this is a great time to visit the island. The celebrations include exciting ceremonies, flower processes and amazing mouth-watering feasts on religious days. Food served at these feasts includes delicious spit-roast lamb, traditional cheesecake and a variety of different breads.
